Last September 7 and 8, it was about making known from my point of view the area, tourism, activities, gastronomy, etc. And as if I were a stranger, I arrived in Roses, where I had to spend two days with various activities. Mireia and Isabel from the association accompanied me to leave my things at the Hotel. In this case, I was in theHotel Vela, located on the sea front, with a room that offered magnificent views of one of the most beautiful bays in the world.

The next activity focused on the BULLI1846, cala Montjoi, the emblematic Bulli, now converted into a museum, which is a space to reflect on the knowledge, innovation and history of the Bulli. Many may think, “visiting a restaurant that has been closed for a long time, may not be very attractive”, wrong, the Bulli Museu offers an immersion in the culinary revolution that Adrià led. Its main objective is to be a center of innovation and knowledge, where science, art and gastronomy merge

And speaking of cooking, it was time for lunch, al Restaurant Sodemar,in the same marina, a restaurant distinguished with the seal Gastronomia d’Origen as it stands out for its cuisine with local products. Some calamarsets, an exceptional rice and a good dessert of the house, all accompanied by a good D.O Empordà wine, great and good profit!

In the afternoon the excursion to Puig Rom by train, the Tren Turístic Cultural Roses Exprés, a unique way to visit Roses, its Bay from another perspective, apart from that you can also see the millenary history of Roses and its points of historical and cultural interest, narrated with audio during the trip.

El Tren Turístic Cultural Roses Exprés, ofereix diferents recorreguts programats per veure Roses i el seu entorn més emblemàtic.

In the evening it was my turn to meet another restaurant distinguished by the seal Gastronomia d’Origen, el Restaurant la Bodega. It was no less, a good product of quality and proximity, an exceptional gastronomic experience, with Arturo and his team as hosts. To start, a delicious candied artichoke with sobrassada and honey, followed by an artisan anchovy from the area.

Afterwards, I enjoyed a Galician octopus with crispy bacon, and of course, the famous Roses prawns, a split crayfish was a spectacle for the senses, and to top it off, a house dessert that was absolutely delicious.

As you can see, pictures are worth a thousand written words!

The next day it was time to go on the water, catamaran trip, Magic Catamarans, specifically the excursion that goes to Cap de Creus, departure from the Ginjolers wharf, in the center of Roses, navigation between Roses and Cadaqués with its lonely coves bordered by pines and sharp cliffs to Cap de Creus, passing through Cadaqués and Port Lligat, I enjoyed the spectacular rocky coast of Cap de Creus.

Stop, a swim in crystal clear waters, barbecue and return.

Other excursions organized from Magic Catamarans, like his acquaintance Sunset.

And with the arrival of the Catamaran at the Roses jetty, my visit ended, with my face a tomato red ready to make gazpacho or directly ketchup, due to forgetting, poor me, the sun cream, luck that made up for the musical thread, disco of the 80s, to remember my glorious years on the weekends, if friends, one is already a fossil age, what will we do.

Thank you very much for this opportunity to explore Roses in such a unique way.
