Roses has the most important fishing port on the Costa Brava in number of catches.

The prawn, the anchovy or the Fish Suquet of Roses, a recipe devised by the fishermen of the time, which consisted of boiling potatoes and fish fresh, are examples of the gastronomy of Roses.

El Bulli

El Bulli was an internationally known restaurant. Located in Cala Montjoi, by the hand of chefs Ferran Adrià and Albert Adrià it was chosen “Best Restaurant in the World” in up to 5 different years, a fact never achieved by any other restaurant.

Currently, it has ceased to be a restaurant to become elBulli1846, an exhibition lab where to study, research and experiment to generate knowledge related to efficiency in innovation.
