Flors Martina, Over 50 Years of Passion for Flowers

The story of Flors Martina began more than five decades ago, in 1969, when Josep and Lluïsa opened their first flower shop at 74 Sant Pau Street in Figueres. However, the family tradition in the world of flowers goes back even further: the passion for floristry started with Martina and Pepito, Josep’s parents, who traveled around the province selling flowers and plants at street markets.

From Figueres to Roses: A Floral Tradition That Endures

Since its beginnings in Figueres, Flors Martina became a local reference, helping to beautify homes and events with flowers and plants during a time of social and cultural change. The expansion continued with the opening of a store in Empuriabrava, where they operated for three seasons, until finally the flower shop was established in Roses, within the town’s municipal market.

With the arrival of a new generation, Carlota, the youngest daughter of Josep and Lluïsa, took over the family business. As a trained florist, Carlota needed a larger space suited to her creative vision, which led to the opening of the current shop. For a while, both flower shops coexisted, but after Josep and Lluïsa retired, Carlota decided to consolidate the business in the main store and close the market stall.

Today, Flors Martina is a reference in Roses and throughout the Alt Empordà region, offering fresh flowers, personalized floral arrangements, and event decoration services. The dedication and love for floristry are still alive in every bouquet, every plant, and every detail offered by the shop.
